Issey Miyake takes fashion prize at the Design of the Year 2012 awards
Issey Miyake‘s 132.5 collection has won the fashion prize at the Design Museum‘s Design of the Year 2012 awards. Other nominees were Sarah Burton’s Alexander McQueen wedding dress for the Duchess of Cambridge, the Céline autumn 2011 collection by Phoebe Philo and the interior of the appointment-only concept store LN-CC designed by an up-and-coming set designer, Gary Card. The Designs of the Year 2012 exhibition, which presents many innovative ideas from the award’s seven categories such as architecture, digital design, furniture and graphics, is currently being held at the Design Museum and will run until July 4.
