In 1959 they began producing ladies’ shoes, and in 1967 began their Prêt-à-Porter line. With their sophisticated and cultivated design, the brand soon became a representative existence of Paris BCBG. Since the 90s, variety of designers such as Michael Kors were assigned role of creative director; from 2008 until 2017, Phoebe Philo served the role. In 2018, Hedi Slimane, who gained enthusiastic fans during his time at Dior Homme and Saint Laurent was assigned the position; Hedi began the brand’s menswear line, as well as changing the traditional logo. He gained a favourable reputation by restoring the brand’s heritage design “MORS”, based off a horse riding harness, as well as their symbolic emblem “TRIOMPHE”, which was designed in 1972.
