MARC JACOBS

In 1986, Marc Jacobs founded the brand. Designer Marc Jacobs was born in 1963 in New York, USA. He graduated from the Parsons School of Design. He received various awards during his time at the college, including the Perry Ellis Award and the CFDA New Fashion Talent Award. He became one of New York’s best-known designers from an early stage. He was also selected as artistic director of Louis Vuitton, a long-established French luxury brand that started producing their clothing line in 1997, and contributed to Louis Vuitton’s sales as a total brand until his retirement in 2013. In its own brand “MARC BY MARC JACOBS”, a second line, was launched in 2001, but the line ended in 2015. In June 2019, the company launched “THE MARC JACOBS”, a new line with lower prices. Unlike “MARC BY”, which has a different director, Mark himself is involved in design for their new line.
