TOM FORD

The brand was founded by Tom Ford and Domenico De Sole in 2005. Tom Ford was born in 1962, in Texas, USA. He studied art history at New York University, but soon transferred to Parsons School of Design, studying interior design and architecture. After graduating he built experience at Perry Ellis, then began his career at Gucci. In 1994 he was assigned creative director at Gucci, elevating the brand by shifting its image to a sensual, sophisticated style. During 2002 he also became the creative director for Yves Saint Laurent, owned by Gucci group, but in 2004 left both of the positions as well the group itself. The brand’s co-owner Domenico was also a CEO at Gucci. The brand established its place by always providing top quality material and tailoring that is unaffected by the season’s trend.
